Brock White has supplied materials to one of the most significant additions to the greater Vancouver infrastructure. The Golden Ears Bridge is a 976 meter, cable-stayed bridge across the Fraser River connecting the cities of Langley and Maple Ridge. The bridge features three main spans and two shoreline spans with eight pylons situated in the river, each 90 meters high.

Construction on the $1 Billion project was awarded to Bilfinger Berger (Canada) Inc. of Vancouver, BC and began in June 2006. Brock White was successful in being listed as a preferred supplier at the start of the project, providing Deck Hangers, Rebar Couplers, Sika 32 Epoxy and other miscellaneous supplies. As well, Brock White supplied BASF’s DegaDeck overlay system, just as it did during construction of the I-35W Bridge in Minneapolis in 2008. The products were recommended to site engineers based on performance, price and availability. The bridge was opened to traffic in the summer of 2009.
