Under renovation since 2009, the Evergreen Basic Needs Building did not have the option of closing for the winter with so many people in need of the facilities. It is a non-profit organization that provides food, clothing and household items to clients in the community requiring short term assistance.
It was decided that the building would be insulated from the interior, not the exterior as originally planned, so it could remain in operation until spring when the veneer and cladding could be installed. To avoid the possibility of a double vapour barrier within the wall assembly, Bakor VP160 was identified as an ideal solution.
