The Spirit Garden at Prince Arthur's Landing Re-Development was created to provide an attractive, natural landscape on the lakefront that utilizes indigenous plant species and also prevents shoreline erosion. RoLanka Coir Logs were a great pick as they are LEED certified and natural, bio-degradable materials.  The North American Green C-125 Coir Blanket was used to stop the exposed soil from washing into Lake Superior during construction. Conwed Bird Netting was used over the top of the new seedlings/plantings to keep gulls, geese and deer from eating the freshly planted vegetation. Brock White also supplied a structural soil reinforcement product by Invisible Structures called Grasspave 2 that was used under a sodded area on Pier 2 as well as a number of a number of other areas. This system allows an avenue for emergency vehicles and a provides fire lane access to the waterfront while still maintaining a vegetated, green surface. All of this allows for a more attractive waterfront by maintaining a natural appearance.
