PROJECT NOTES: This arena is used for amateur hockey and was previously insulated with Fiberglass Metal Building Insulation. They were having some concerns with condensation, and a humidity problem. They approached Jerry from Hi Pro Arenas Service, who suggested using a Reflectix product. Les Friesen, Reflextix’s manufacturer rep and Brock White’s Tom Luce
visited the site and reviewed application with Hi Pro. Hi Pro recommended to re-insulate the entire ceiling by pinning the insulation to the beams and applying over the perlins. Hi Pro also recommended to include netting from the go line to the blue line as this would protect the insulation on deflected pucks that may damage the insulation. Hi Pro has contacted a number of other arenas that are interested in this application.
