After five years this 12,000 sq. ft. home is finally complete, and won the Award of Excellence in Masonry Design at the 2019 BC Masonry Design Awards! The gorgeous Fond Du Lac Rustic Ledgestone from Buechel Stone is a natural stone that has warm honey tones with sawn and cleft tops and bottoms creating a stunning finish on the home that allows it to stand up to the panoramic view of the Abbotsford Valley.

This gorgeous home was built on the side of a mountain, meaning the contractor had to build the road and construct the utilities before the home construction could even begin. The wait was definitely worth it as the 12,000 sq. ft. home includes a tunnel to the carriage house, a swimming pool, hot tub and 6 chimneys.
About the Product
Buechel Stone promises that when it comes to beauty, strength, and longevity, their natural stone is in a class of its own.
The low heights and thin layers of the Beuchel Stone are reminiscent of a historic technique employed by masons for easier coursing and revised using heights from 3/4" to 2-1/4” and lengths from 4” to 16” for the thin veneer stone. In this project, jumpers and full bed stone were also installed to create further dimension.
