Millarville Embankment Protection Project
Millarville is a hamlet in Alberta, Canada within the Municipal District of Foothills No. 31. It is located 50 KM southwest of Calgary in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies at an elevation of 1,185 metres.
Every year the embankment of the Sheep River floods and requires consistent annual repairs. The concern was for severe erosion damage and the region wanted a permanent solution. Calgary engineering firm Amec Foster Wheeler completed the design which recommended the use of Futerra® TRM from Profile Products. The installation covered 3,700 m2 and ultilized 3' soil Gripple anchors to secure it in place.
