BMP Supplies Silt Fence Posts are manufactured from a high end UV stabilized non-woven geofabric that is attached to durable 2"x 2" stakes available in both 6' and 10' spacing - black and orange. The purpose of silt fencing is to prevent the flow of sediment from leaving the desired site and entering natural drainage ways or storm drainage systems by slowing storm water runoff and causing the deposition of sediment at the structure. Silt fencing encourages sheet flow and reduces the potential of developing ruts and gullies.
