Perma-Chink Lifeline Ultra-7 is the most durable exterior wood stain that Perma-Chink Systems has ever developed. The secret behind its durability is Lifeline Ultra-7's state-of-the-art resin that creates a flexible and tough seal on your home's logs. Perhaps more importantly than the seal's strength, the resin also ensures that the seal is continuous, providing protection from holes and gaps that might otherwise develop with a lower-quality finish. In addition it has unsurpassed adhesion to wood. It's this continuity that has proven to be very resistant to UV degradation, color fading, and adhesion loss. And just like all Lifeline finishes, the water-resistant film breathes to allow trapped moisture to evaporate from your logs.

All surfaces should be free from mill glaze and contaminates including dirt, dust, mold and mildew, old finishes, water repellents and wax. If a borate-bases wood preservative has been applied, make sure it is completely dry, DO NOT APPLY LIFELINE™ ULTRA-7 TO SURFACES THAT HAVE BEEN BRUSHED WITH A WIRE BRUSH OR RUBBED WITH STEEL WOOL (rust spots may appear under the finish). DO NOT THIN or MIX OTHER PRODUCTS. STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE AND DURING USE. Apply using and airless sprayer or synthetic bristle brush, DO NOT USE ROLLERS. It is best applied by sprayer and followed immediately by back-brushing to work the finished into the wood surface and promote the most even coverage and color. Small sections will help mantaining a wet edge to avoid lap marks. Stop your application line along natural break points such as corners, window and door edges, butt joints. DO NOT APPLY to hot surfaces or in direct sunlight. DO NOT APPLY TO DECKS, HANDRAILS OR ANY OTHER HORIZONTAL SURFACES. After a single coat has been applied and dried for 4-6 hours, inspect the wood surface for color uniformity. If the surface appears splotchy and uneven in color, a second coat of LIFELINE ULTRA-7 may be applied at this time to help normalize the color uniformity. Make sure to brush or back-brush the second finish coat thoroughly to promote a uniform finished appearance.
